With the invaluable help of golf course architect Robert Muir Graves, Kenneth Hume Hunter, Jr. set out in 1986 to develop the finest pure test of golf he could imagine. It started with a great place – 309 acres of gently rolling, oak studded, ancient sand hills 30 miles north of Santa Barbara.
